Artisan Incense Recipe
1/2 c makko powder
1/4 c sandalwood powder
1/4 c mixed and muddled herbs and resins of choice
(Optional) - You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oils as well
•Mix powder in bowl and add water 2 tablespoons at a time until it turns into clay-like consistency. Don’t overwater!
Use a tablespoon of mix and shape onto a bamboo stick. Create your own blend of resin powder to coat on the outside. Roll it in the resin powder as needed to help with stickiness. Roll until you reach your desired shape. Let incense dry for a couple of days.
I encourage you to experiment with your recipe and technique - let your creative energy flow while infusing different scents and blends. It’s really a magical experience from start to ash.
